There's been a run of news from Eaglemoss' starships collections of late, but this latest update brings the welcome return of new ships from the the original range. Continue below to check out the latest special issue, XL issue, STO ships, more updates from new Universe series, and Build the Enterprise-D too!
First up, TrekCore have released some early previews for expected June releases. That includes the latest oversized special issue(ad) in the original Official Starships Collection, and the latest in the growing collection of space station models: Relay Station 47, from the TNG episode Aquiel.
In-universe this is much smaller than previous starbase models, but being a bigger model, as a special, will no doubt help make the spindly details of this model it a little less fragile than they might otherwise have been - None the less I find this quite a surprisingly obscure choice when we've yet to see far more prominent stations, such as the Caretaker's Array, the Midas Array, various spacedocks, Starbase Yorktown, etc.
Also announced by TrekCore is the latest in the
XL series(ad), and a very welcome addition to that oversized range, the Nebula class; specifically the USS Bonchune from
Voyager's
Message in a Bottle.
They've also
now released the magazine cover for Seven's ship too:
According to Eaglemoss Customer Service, individual issues of the series will not be offered on the webshop however; so if you'd like to build the Enterprise
subscribing(ad) is how you'll have to do it (but it's not like it's a series you'd only want to pick up selectively anyway!)
If you're curious what's involved, YouTuber World of Wayne has posted a couple of videos going into great detail on what's in the first couple of issues and the insanely intricate building process - As a leisurely hobby to gradually build the ship over time, I can kind of see the appeal. Check it out:
