Loads of updates from Eaglemoss'Star Trek: The Official Starships Collection for you today, including lots of new photos of the models, a not-so-official solution for DS9's missing stand, and a new milestone on the USS Titan petition. Continue below to check everything out.
First up, the latest photos from The Collection's manager, Ben Robinson, posted on his Twitter account. These are the first photos we've seen of the beautiful Norway class model, which will become as issue sixty-one in the series, due out at in the UK first at the end of this year (and following later in other markets).

Ben also posted a new photo of the Steamrunner class, which we don't have so long to wait for as it's the next issue out in the UK, the fifty-fourth in the series, coming at the start of September in the UK.

Meanwhile more official images have been released of the latest issues to be solicited, as they appear on listings from online retailers. Those include issues fifty-nine, and sixty, the USS Relativity, and SS Botany Bay, which should be arriving in the UK in November.

And there's also the fifth over-sized special issue, the USS Kelvin. David Andrewson was kind enough to tweet me a message he got from The Collection's customer service team, who suggested this will be arriving in October.
In addition to this wonderful looking model, there will of course be the magazine, which if it follows the trend of the previous nuTrek specials will give in-depth coverage of the design the ship - These have been the highlight magazines in the series for me.

The USS Enterprise-D dedication plaque, which was originally a subscription bonus item is also now available to order individually from the online shop.

Meanwhile in other corners of the web... Collector of the series Dave Combe has found a solution to one of the biggest errors in the series; the lack of a stand for the Deep Space 9 model. What he has devised is ingenious, a 3D printed order-on-demand bespoke stand available from Shapeways. It comes in two-parts, a small base, which fits into the hole of a regular Starships Collection base-plate (which you will need to source separately), and a three pronged set of arms which sits in this base section, allowing DS9 to not only be supported, but rotated on the base. Dave posted some notes on how to get the stand to perform as good as it can in a post on The Collection's Facebook page.

Finally, a big milestone for the USS Titan petition, which in the last day has passed the four-thousand name mark. In fact there are now less than nine-hundred names to reach the five-thousand name target - If you've missed previous posts: If we can find five-thousand people who would put there name down as being prepared to pre-order, if offered, then it would be possible to have an extra issue of The Collection commissioned, featuring the USS Titan (or for that matter any other non-canon ship with enough love, I'm also pushing the USS Aventine).
A wave of over a hundred new supporters mostly came from Germany, so I imagine a German site or individual with a good following posted about it - This is exactly what we need to happen to take us all the way; we need to find new groups of USS Titan fans who haven't come across the petition yet. We could be there in a few days if it got to the right places, so please continue to share the petition far and wide. We're getting so close now, but ideally I'd also like to take us comfortably over the five-thousand mark, to make sure any missing emails, duplicate names, or people who just won't end up pre-ordering when the time comes are cancelled out. So the more support the better.
